The image to the right understandably cause different reactions in different communities within America and the West. While the Muslim community may view this image as a proud moment of accomplishment in making inroads into a foreign community they have chosen to adopt as their own, many other communities view this image with reservation and fear.

Muslims in the West will attempt to address these and other pressing and potentially conflicting issues about Muslims in the West. We will dare to ask the tough questions that have thus far only been discussed behind closed doors within the divergent faith communities.

The documentary will attempt to reveal the motivations behind the reservations and fears felt by so many Americans towards the Muslim community. It will explore the media and it's influence on the public attitudes. It will further explore the reasons why Muslims emigrate to the West, their purpose, intentions and their own fears and concerns.

Muslims in the West will seek to let the real story unfold itself as told by persons who are seeking to live the American dream and by those who are fearful of the differences in culture and beliefs that may collide with their own understanding and lifestyles. Not limited to the American experience, Muslims in the West will address similar issues in other Western lands. The documentary will also travel to traditional Muslim lands and seek answers as to what motivates people to immigrate to traditionally non-Muslim lands. How have those desires to immigrate have potentially changed since 911 and the changing economic condition. Has the perception of America altered peoples desire to live in America.

Hard questions that have yet to be addressed or explored. Muslims in the West promises to be an insightful film that will provide a fresh and honest approach to these difficult issues effecting so many people in the West.
